Hi there! I’m Hana, an artist and animator best known for her work in Live2D making 2D Vtubers. Outside of Vtuber work, I illustrate elegant characters, create inspiring and motivating videos about art, animate character-focused visual stories, and dabble in all things artsy! I share my journey and processes in hopes of inspiring others on their journeys of self betterment.

FAQ

Q1. When will your commissions be available?
For the time being, I am focusing on my own improvement. I will not be taking any more private commissions at this time
Q2. What programs/brushes/tablet do you use?
Tablet: iPad Pro 2021 & Apple Pencil 2, Intuos Pro M
Art Program: Clip Studio Paint Pro
Vtuber Animating Program: Live2D Cubism
Brushes: Default dense watercolor brush, opaque watercolor brush, more detailed here.
Q3. Do you have any advice for beginner artists? How do you practice and improve at art?
1. Draw everyday. I know everyone will tell you this but I find the easiest way to draw everyday is to find an obsession (anime, games, etc.) and have scrap paper handy all the time to doodle. You will naturally improve!
2. Once you become comfortable drawing, you can then begin to scrutinize different parts of your art and improve on singular parts. Hate the way you draw noses? Find an artist that draws them a way you like and figure out how to do it similar. By repeating this process with many different artists you will start developing your own style.
3. After steps 2 and 3, you should be comfortable on how to draw and how to study art to develop your style, so at this point you can learn to draw from references and break them down to learn more or to enhance your art. At this point, it comes down to preference and what is aesthetically pleasing to you.
4. If you enjoy my style, I would describe it as a painty messy style. I focus on shapes and colors and defining important pieces like the eyes, face, and hair. If you want to achieve this style, focus on those 3 things. When painting, I rely on the textures to paint and color to guide my art.
5. Finally, after you have developed these skills of drawing and how to study art through reference or observation, you can keep improving by applying techniques like lighting, composition, etc. Some of this can be abstract but they're the final things that will push your art from good to great.
Don't forget it’s a long journey through and through and there are no shortcuts (: However, it’s fun, rewarding and incredibly awesome to see yourself improve, so you got this and good luck!Q4. Can you make a tutorial/video about ``?
I'm planning to work on a series of tutorial videos in the future, but at the moment, I'm currently swamped with work! It usually takes me a bit of planning before I can release a tutorial of a topic.
Q5. How long have you been drawing?
I started doing art seriously in May of 2020, but I've been drawing my whole life!
Q6. Are you self taught?
I'm completely self taught at the moment, but I highly encourage you to take on art courses if you can afford it!
Q7. How long did it take to learn how to make Vtuber models?
I streamed my entire process of learning how to make a Vtuber model from scratch. The entire process of designing, drawing the model, learning how to cut the model, learning how to rig, and then rigging the model took me five weeks, with weekends off.
Q8. How long does it take to complete an illustration/Vtuber?
This varies largely by the size of the work and how much time it takes to solve problems that may arise in the process. On average, a Vtuber model can take me about 3 months, from design to completion. Illustrations can take anywhere from 10 to 24+ hours.
